This panel assembles international leaders in the philosophy of science, cognitive psychology, and computer science to help us think about improving learning research and instructional practice by considering features of complex systems.

Speakers:

Jay McClelland, Lucie Stern Professor in the Social Sciences and Director, Center for Mind, Brain, and Computation, Stanford University
Sandra Mitchell, Professor and Chair of the Department of History and Philosophy of Science, University of Pittsburgh
John Mitchell, Vice Provost for Online Learning, Stanford University
